Arsène Wenger is not paying any attention to the latest bout of speculation over Cesc Fabregas' future.
The Arsenal captain has been the subject of transfer rumours for many years with Barcelona and Real Madrid supposedly heading the queue for his signature. Those stories often rear their head in the wake of damaging defeats and, predictably, Fabregas was linked with a move back to Spain shortly after Arsenal lost to Chelsea on Sunday.
Wenger has seen it all before, of course, and brushed aside the latest speculation when it was put to him at his pre-match press conference. According to the manager, Fabregas is as committed as ever to the Arsenal cause.
"There is no concern at all," said the manager. "What is more of a concern is that we try everything to win something.
"Cesc is committed when he plays, [so] what’s the future? We don’t know what will happen in six months, in two years, in five years. Your commitment is when you sign your contract and where you play."
