Arsène Wenger insists a Sporting Braga side playing in front of its own fans will be a different proposition to the one that was thrashed at Emirates Stadium.
The Portuguese outfit were beaten 6-0 on their Champions League debut in September but have since won twice in Group H and now sit just three points behind the Gunners with qualification a realistic prospect.
Arsenal beat Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1 at home but then succumbed 2-1 in Donetsk and Wenger is wary of a similar swing in fortunes against Braga. But the Arsenal manager is confident his players will bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing defeat to Tottenham.
“A game away from home in the Champions League is a different game and Braga is a good side that impressed me in the first 20 minutes in the first game [in London],” said Wenger.
“On the other hand we have an opportunity to bounce back on Tuesday night and qualify so we want to take this opportunity.
“With what happened to us on Saturday I think everybody will be focused and prepared for a game where we want to perform at our best. We know we have an opportunity to qualify and people will expect us to bounce back.”Copyright 2016 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
