Arsène Wenger has confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be the Arsenal squad to face Norwich City despite England's travails in Poland this week.

Oxlade-Chamberlain and his international team-mates had to wait until Wednesday to play their World Cup qualifier in Poland after Tuesday's fixture was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

England's below-par display in Warsaw was partly explained by sleeping difficulties following the cancellation but Wenger is not concerned about Oxlade-Chamberlain, who came off the bench for the final 17 minutes of his country’s 1-1 draw.

"He will be in the squad for the weekend," Wenger told Arsenal Player.

"It’s not easy to deal with that [kind of delay]. When you prepare for a game, it’s a disappointment not to play. Then you always have problems to sleep and the next day you have to get ready again.

"In France, it was usual like that when we played. When we couldn’t play a game because of bad weather, and that happened sometimes in the south of France, you played always the next day. It’s never easy to deal with that but it’s the same conditions for both teams."
