Emmanuel Eboue’s comeback is not complete, according to Arsène Wenger.

The Ivorian's appearance at Porto on Wednesday night was his first since he was booed by home fans against Wigan at the weekend.

The 25-year-old acquitted himself adequately on a night when the whole side were in far from top form. However the support for Eboue from the visiting supporters was impressive.

The right back responded by throwing his shirt into the crowd at the final whistle. Afterwards Wenger was happy enough with Eboue but added that the road to full recovery has some way to go.

"He got the support of the fans here and he did all right,” said the manager. "But it does not go as quickly as that. It will take a little time."
