Tomas Rosicky has trained with a football for the first time in over a year this week.
Rosicky’s last action for Arsenal came on Saturday, January 26, 2008, but Arsène Wenger revealed that he could be back within six weeks.
Last Friday, Arsenal.com reported that Rosicky had undertaken ‘intense training’ for the first time and an “optimistic” Wenger delivered even more good news on the midfielder at his latest press conference.
“I just left him. He is working on the pitch,” said the manager. “He has touched the ball for the first time this week and we are quite positive about him, maybe more than he is.
“He could be the good surprise of the season because in six or seven weeks he has a chance to be back.”
