Arsène Wenger was satisfied to be drawn against Celtic in next week’s Champions League Play-Off round.
Arsenal were pitched against the SPL runners-up in Friday’s draw. The first game takes place at Celtic Park on Tuesday with the return at Emirates on August 26. Generally, Wenger does not like to fly too far at this stage of the Champions League so, not surprisingly, he was relatively content to go to Glasgow.
“That is the positive side of the draw,” he said. “We won’t spend too much time travelling.
“But it is a big game and, of course, a difficult opponent. We’ll prepare like it is a big game.”
