Arsène Wenger is confident that Theo Walcott will sign a new contract with Arsenal.
The England winger is currently sidelined after dislocating his shoulder while on international duty in November. The injury curtailed a promising start to Walcott's season - the 19-year-old earned a regular spot in the Arsenal line-up and announced his arrival on the global stage with a hat-trick against Croatia in a World Cup qualifier.
Wenger expects to have Walcott back in March to bolster Arsenal's push for honours. The manager also expects the teenager to commit his future to the Club before long.
"We will sort that [his contract] out," said Wenger ahead of tonight's trip to Everton.
"We are in negotiations. He wants to stay and we want him to stay, so we should find an agreement."Copyright 2014 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source 28 Jan 2009
