Gael Clichy may be back for the home game with Hull City at the weekend.
The left back limped off just before half-time at Bolton on Saturday after a heavy challenge from Kevin Davies. Arsène Wenger was concerned the Frenchman had broken his leg and, during the second half of the game, he was sent to hospital for tests.
They revealed only bad bruising to his shin. As a result Clichy will miss practising with his team-mates this week but he may be able to re-join them at the weekend.
“The injury will keep him out of training for the whole week but we hope he could play on Saturday against Hull,” Arsène Wenger told TV Online on Monday.
“It’s bruising on his shin. It’s the kind of injury where if it’s broken it can keep him out for months or it’s only bruising then it’s only days.”Copyright 2016 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
