Arsène Wenger believes that Chelsea are still firmly in the hunt for the Premier League crown.
The fourth-placed Blues currently trail leaders Manchester United by 10 points and face a difficult test at Aston Villa on Saturday lunchtime. And, despite labelling the Red Devils ‘untouchable’ on Monday, Wenger has tipped Guus Hiddink’s side to push the champions very close.
“I said at the beginning of the week that a strong contender at the moment is Manchester United,” said the Frenchman at Friday’s pre-match press conference. “But they have a big programme and a big schedule, so you do not know.
“They [Chelsea] were never completely out of it, you never are until you are mathematically out of it."
