Arsène Wenger says Marouane Chamakh will not be sold during the January transfer window.

The striker is currently on international duty with Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations, a tournament co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea this year.

Chamakh has been linked with a move away from Emirates Stadium but Wenger expects his player to return to Arsenal next month.

“He is at the Africa Cup of Nations, nothing will happen there,” the manager said. “Will he come back? Yes.”
