Wenger - Celtic is an option for Senderos
Sol Campbell's arrival could hasten Philippe's departure from Arsenal
By Chris Harris
Arsène Wenger is prepared to let Philippe Senderos leave and has confirmed that Celtic is one of his potential destinations.
The Swiss defender was tipped for a bright future with Arsenal after making his debut in 2004 and helping the Club reach the Champions League Final two years later. But Senderos has slipped down the pecking order at Emirates Stadium and has played just twice for the first team this season.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Glasgow in recent weeks and Wenger admitted on Friday that the arrival of Sol Campbell could hasten Senderos' departure.
"We signed Sol Campbell to have four centre-backs and to help us do well in all competitions," said the manager.
"That allows Philippe Senderos to go somewhere and play because he needs to.
"Celtic is one of the opportunities Philippe has."
