Arsène Wenger has called on Arsenal's fans to get behind their team on Sunday - and show respect for their opponents.
On Thursday, Arsenal and Tottenham released a joint statement to remind supporters that "breaches of ground regulations - including anti-social behaviour - will not be tolerated.”
Wenger echoed the message at his pre-match press conference after he was asked about the return of Emmanuel Adebayor to Emirates Stadium.
"We want to respect everybody," said Wenger. "We will respect Tottenham on Sunday and we want our players and supporters to be respected as well."
Adebayor has enjoyed a productive season on loan from Manchester City but that does not surprise Wenger at all.
"He is a good player," said the Frenchman. "I bought Adebayor when nobody knew him in this country and he became a big player here so I am not surprised that he is doing well.
"He went to Man City, then to Real Madrid, then back to Man City and then to Tottenham. So he has only played for big clubs and I am not surprised because he is a good player."Copyright 2016 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
