Carl Jenkinson's first England call-up will do wonders for his belief, according to Arsène Wenger.
The Arsenal defender will join Roy Hodgson's squad for their friendly against Sweden in Stockholm next Wednesday - provided he receives clearance from FIFA.
Jenkinson has long been tipped for international honours and Wenger is delighted for the 20-year-old.
"I am happy that his potential has been acknowledged by Roy Hodgson, so that is good news," said Wenger.
"Carl is a guy with massive potential and I believe the positive of that is it will improve his belief, and that is very important for him in my opinion."
