Gilberto has called on his side to keep their concentration for the second leg of the Champions League qualifier against Dinamo Zagreb.
The Croatian side travel to Emirates Stadium on August 23 with an arduous 3-0 deficit to overcome. It would take something highly unusual for Arsenal not to make the group stage now but the Brazilian remains cautious.
"The first leg was important for us because we have an advantage, but it is not time to relax," he said. "We will go back home and concentrate on what we have to do in the second game."
Gilberto was the captain in Croatia on Tuesday night and, as one of the most experienced players in the squad, believes the team is in better shape than ever because of the young talent Arsène Wenger has at his disposal.
"I think this season they will improve a lot because they have more experience," said the 29-year-old. "It is a bit too early now to say too many things, but they have a hunger inside them to improve and help the team."
