Theo Walcott says Owen Coyle has the respect of the Arsenal squad.

Coyle brings his Bolton Wanderers side to Emirates Stadium on Saturday as they hunt for the points to take them out of the relegation zone.

Walcott admitted the Trotters had not enjoyed the best of openings to the season but says Coyle is the man to help fire them back up the table.

“They haven’t had the greatest of starts but they’ll be tough opposition, as they always are, so we look forward to it,” Walcott told the Official Matchday Programme.

“Owen Coyle has done a great job there - look at Jack Wilshere as an example. Obviously the boss [Arsène Wenger] has made him the player he is but a bit of that came from Coyle as well - he had enough belief to put Jack in the team during his loan there and Jack came back a new player.

“They play football the right way and Coyle looks to give young players an opportunity. He seems like a really good manager to get along with and we respect him.”
