Theo Walcott believes he can make more progress by staying at
Arsenal instead of going out on loan.
The Arsenal youngster was linked with a temporary move away from
Emirates Stadium earlier this month but Arsène Wenger insisted
that loan deals were not on the agenda despite the Club's exit
from the Carling Cup.
Speaking exclusively to the Arsenal matchday programme, Walcott
explained why he would prefer to stay put.
"I don't think there's a reason for me to go on
loan," he said.
"I want to push myself every day here at Arsenal and try and
get in the first-team as often as I can and play well when I'm
in the team.
"And with respect to other clubs, I train here with some of
the best players in the world and that's not going to happen at
other places.
"My game is obviously going to benefit the most from being
around these players. And Arsenal is such a fantastic Club anyway,
I just want to show people what I can do here."
