Wayne Rouse presented Robin van Persie with his O2 Arsenal.com Player of the Month award before Saturday's game against Bolton Wanderers.

The Arsenal fan, from Milton Keynes, met Robin and won two tickets to watch the match. "Robin has been a shining light in what has been a difficult period for Arsenal," said Wayne before the game.

Robin scooped his second consecutive Player of the Month award, polling just over 30 per cent of the votes.

After sitting out December’s first two fixtures, Robin returned with a bang. He went close to scoring at Middlesbrough and Aston Villa but did find the target after a sumptuous piece of skill against Liverpool. Receiving a high ball from Samir Nasri with his back to goal, the 25-year-old controlled and swivelled with one touch before lashing an unstoppable effort past Pepe Reina at the near post. It was Robin's 53rd goal for Arsenal, and probably his best at Emirates Stadium.

You can cast your vote for the January O2 Arsenal.com Player of the Month when our poll opens on February 2. Once again, one lucky voter will be chosen to present the award and they will also win two tickets to a game at the Emirates.
