Robin van Persie wants to recreate a London Colney training session in Stuttgart tonight - because that's where he used to score past Jens Lehmann.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper is set to face his old club at the Mercedes-Benz Arena less than a month after swapping the Premier League for the Bundesliga. Van Persie is hoping he will get the chance to put one past his friend.
"I am hoping to play so we will see what it brings," said Van Persie.
"Jens a fantastic goalkeeper. He is almost 39 but he is still a fantastic goalkeeper and a nice man as well.
"He has lots of humour so I always have a good laugh with him, and I am happy he is still in the game because he's a real professional.
"It's good fun to see him and I hope I get the chance to score many goals against him like I did in training!"Copyright 2013 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source 30 Jul 2008
