Robin van Persie has an "80 per cent" chance of recovering from injury in time to face Manchester United at the weekend.

The 23-year-old has been undergoing tests since he hurt his ankle in training this week. Thankfully, it seems he is likely to be fit for a vital game at Emirates Stadium.

"Robin will have test tomorrow," said Arsène Wenger at Friday's pre-match press conference. "But he has an 80 per cent chance of being OK."

Johan Djourou has picked up a hamstring problem and will not figure while Alex Song is on international duty for Cameroon at the Under-20s African Nations Cup.

Otherwise the injury news is the same as reported on Thursday: Emmanuel Eboue is back after his ankle problem but William Gallas (thigh) and Freddie Ljungberg (hamstring) are still out. Gilberto starts a three-game suspension so Mathieu Flamini is likely to deputise in midfield.
