Robin van Persie... celebrates scoring for Arsenal against Tottenham
Van Persie - Family boosts my performances
By Nick Teale
Robin Van Persie has highlighted the importance of his family life in his current run of fine form.
The striker has scored seven goals in as many games for Arsenal, including a brace in the 3-0 win over Tottenham on Saturday.
The Dutchman recently celebrated the arrival of his second child and says enjoying his family life is pivotal to his on-field success.
"My family life is fantastic," he said.
"The main things in my life are my two kids and my wife. It makes you stable and gives you a good basis to perform."
Van Persie also admitted he had been feeling the effects of the recent birth of his second child, daughter Dina Layla.
"Two weeks ago, it was really hard and I was struggling physically but it's better now.
"When you play at this level, you need to recover and get your rest here and there and that is what I am doing."
