Last season, 'One Year On week' marked a significant step in the history of Arsenal.com.
The move to Emirates Stadium was complete - we were in. Yes, there had been teething issues and improvements were made, now it was time to kick on and inject some history into our new home. This, of course, had been the very commodity that made Highbury so difficult to leave.
One Year On week was a pause for reflection; an intake of breath before the lung-bursting marathon of the next 10 months.
Last season, we spoke to the Chairman, the manager, assessed the health of the Club and looked forward to the coming campaign. It was a major reason why July 2007 became our best-ever month for web traffic (we have broken the record a couple of times since).
Now, traditions have to start somewhere. That’s why we plan to do the same thing again this year. Over the course of 'Two Years On week' there will be exclusive interviews with Arsène Wenger, Peter Hill-Wood and Danny Fiszman. All three will assess the state of the Club two years after that half-mile move across Islington.
We’ll also consider the embryonic history of Emirates Stadium itself and talk to the people responsible for the Matchday operation.
And, most heartening of all, by the time this week is over the first fixture of pre-season will be upon us.
