Arsenal Ladies cruised through to the next round of the Women's League Cup with a comprehensive victory over Everton.

Vic Akers watched his side strike twice in the first half and once in the second to ensure victory over the Toffees.

Karen Carney had put the hosts in front from the spot after 38 minutes before Kim Little made it two on the stroke of half time.

Little grabbed her second goal three minutes after the interval and despite a 78th minute strike from Everton's Fara Williams, Arsenal held on comfortably.
