FABREGAS V BLACKBURN ROVERS (H) 04-10-2009
Cesc Fabregas had been pulling the strings against Blackburn Rovers when he struck the goal he so richly deserved in October of last season.

The Gunners had twice gone behind at Emirates Stadium but with Cesc's help had taken a 3-2 lead when the captain stuck a beautiful volley to effectively seal the points for Arsène Wenger's side.

Tomas Rosicky picked up a clearance 20 yards out and clipped the ball to Fabregas. The midfielder brought it down with his chest, allowed the bounce and struck the bottom of the ball with his left foot to produce a shot which dipped into the top corner.

The Arsenal captain had controlled the game from midfield, playing a part in five of the Gunners' goals in an eventual 6-2 victory.
