09/10 Arsenal 5-0 FC Porto - Samir Nasri

NASRI V PORTO (H) 09-03-2010
This was Arsenal's Goal of the Season for 2009/10 and you can understand why.

It was the strike which effectively saw Arsenal into the Quarter-Finals of the Champions League in March but, equally, it was a reminder of Samir Nasri's immense talent.

When the 22-year-old Frenchman collected the ball from Abou Diaby close to the right touchline, the immediate danger to Porto seems remote. That changed very quickly.

Nasri turned away from one challenge and, having gained momentum, ran at two more defenders and jinked past them both.

The Porto keeper charged out to narrow an already acute angle but Nasri slammed a shot past him and into the net via the far post.
