Whatever happens this weekend, Arsène Wenger believes his Arsenal side can still win the Premiership title.
On Saturday, the Frenchman will take his team to Bolton, a perennially difficult fixture. A day later, Manchester United take on Chelsea a few miles across Lancashire at Old Trafford. The two fixtures will certainly influence the destiny of the Premiership title.
Arsenal currently trail leaders Manchester United by 12 points and second-place Chelsea by nine. They have a game in hand but the distance will look daunting should they lose at the Reebok Stadium and Sir Alex Ferguson's side win. However speaking in Friday's press conference, Wenger wanted to paint a much brighter picture.
"At the moment I don't consider that at all," he said. "That situation could happen in reverse you know.
"Look at the numbers, we have the potential to win it. We
have lost twice, Chelsea twice, Manchester United once but the
difference is the points we dropped at home.
"We go to a new ground. It is not completely logical because we have just moved in you drop points but despite that we can still win the Premiership.
"We will adapt to what happens on Saturday and Sunday. At the moment we have a good opportunity to win this game at Bolton and so let's just take the chance to do it."
