The local allocation of tickets for Arsenal's Tour match against Kitchee FC in Hong Kong has sold out in less than a week. However, a limited number have been reserved for UK-based supporters and will go on sale from Monday, July 2.
The game, which is the Gunners' first in the region for 17 years, will see Arsène Wenger’s team take on local champions Kitchee FC at the 40,000 capacity Hong Kong Stadium for the Kitchee Cup on Sunday, July 29.
Mr. Ken Ng, President of Kitchee (Sports Management) Limited, said: "The demand for match tickets is unprecedented for any match that I have been involved with. More than 31,000 tickets were sold after our first day of sales. We expect a fantastic match in a packed stadium. We thank you for all the support and look forward to seeing everyone on July 29."
With ticket sales for pre-season games in Kuala Lumpur against a Malaysia XI and Beijing against Manchester City also progressing well, the development provides further evidence of the tremendous support enjoyed by Arsenal in Asia.
