Robin van Persie returns to Arsenal's starting line-up for today's trip to Stamford Bridge.

The Dutch international leapt off the bench to fire a winning brace against Stoke at Emirates Stadium but reclaims his place once more this afternoon.

Thomas Vermaelen and Carl Jenkinson are fit enough to take places on the bench, meaning Johan Djourou will continue his place at right-back.

Theo Walcott and Gervinho will continue on the flanks, with Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey once more looking to provide the ammunition for Arsenal's front three.

Carling Cup goalscorers Ju Young Park and Andrey Arshavin take up places on the bench.

Team in full: Szczesny, Djourou, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Andre Santos, Song, Arteta, Ramsey, Walcott, Gervinho, Van Persie.

Substitutes: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Frimpong, Rosicky, Arshavin, Park.
