Armand Traore returns to the Arsenal starting XI for today's game against Aston Villa but Cesc Fabregas (hamstring) is only fit enough for the bench at Emirates Stadium.
Traore has recovered from a hamstring injury picked up against Liverpool on December 13 and replaces Mikael Silvestre at left-back.
Arsène Wenger makes one other change to the side that beat Hull City last week, with Bacary Sagna starting at right-back in place of Emmanuel Eboue who drops to the bench.
This will be Eboue's last match before heading to the Africa Cup of Nations but Alex Song will remain with Arsenal until after next Sunday's FA Cup clash at West Ham United.
Arsenal team in full: Almunia (c), Sagna, Gallas, Vermaelen, Traore, Song, Denilson, Nasri, Diaby, Arshavin, Eduardo
SUBS: Fabianski, Eboue, Silvestre, Fabregas, Ramsey, Walcott, Vela
