Arsène Wenger has made four changes to his side for this afternoon's match against Manchester City at Emirates Stadium.

With Mikel Arteta out injured, Abou Diaby will come into Arsenal's three-man midfield to play alongside Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere.

The France international has been out of action since September 29, but is restored straight to the starting XI against the Premier League champions.

Elsewhere, captain Thomas Vermaelen returns the heart of the defence at the expense of Per Mertesacker, Lukas Podolski replaces Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain comes in for Olivier Giroud.

Team in full: Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Diaby, Cazorla, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Podolski.

Subs: Mannone, Jenkinson, Santos, Mertesacker, Ramsey, Coquelin, Giroud.
