Dan Roebuck - Arsenal Live

The world and his wife are writing Arsenal off ahead of Sunday's trip to Old Trafford and you can understand why - Arsène Wenger's side have so many injuries and suspensions. But the Gunners' spirits will be lifted by the midweek win at Udinese and I fancy them to sneak a draw. If Koscielny is passed fit then I wouldn't be surprised to see Djourou start in midfield alongside Ramsey and Rosicky with both Song and Frimpong suspended. So much will depend on Walcott as well. He hasn't had much joy from Evra in recent years but if he can make his runs through the centre then Arsenal can get in behind United.

Arsenal TV Online commentator - Martin Hayes

They don’t get much bigger than Manchester United v Arsenal. If we are going to win the Premier League, United and Chelsea are the teams we have got to finish above so we don’t want to fall too far behind them. With respect to Udinese, United is a step up. It is very difficult for Arsène Wenger because he has got to try and come away with something but you can’t always set out for a draw. I think he may have to go up there and just throw caution to the wind because, sometimes, the best form of defence is attack. In the second half against Udinese, we saw a more confident performance and Arsenal really just went for it. Football is all about confidence and, once you know you are good enough, that carries through. Wednesday will give them a lot of confidence, it has taken a lot of pressure off but we need to come away from Old Trafford with something.

I'm a bit worried about this to be honest. Between injuries, suspensions and the need to add to squad in the wake of some significant departures we're not as strong as we should be going into a game against the champions. United won the title then went out and significantly strengthened their squad whereas Arsenal have yet to make the most of the money we have at our disposal. All the same, if we can show the same kind of spirit and character as we did on Wednesday night against Udinese then we can get something from the game. I think we're going to need a massive defensive performance to do that though so fingers crossed.
