Wojciech Szczesny says Arsenal’s team spirit has helped turn their season around after a difficult start to the campaign.
The Gunners were as low as 17th in the table in September but, after a superb recent run of nine wins in 10 games, they now lie in third place.
Szczesny is proud of his side’s revival and believes their hot streak of form augers well for the future.
“I think team spirit has turned our season around,” he told Arsenal Player. “We stuck together as a team, we worked really hard at the training ground, we kept fighting for each other and we’re getting the credit we deserve now.
“I also think the Tottenham game was a turning point. It came a little bit too late I suppose but once we won that game the atmosphere at the Club changed dramatically and it helped us to get the results afterwards.
“It gives us a lot of confidence. Last year we finished the season poorly and you kind of take it into the new season and our start wasn't very good.
“We hope to finish this year strongly and take the momentum into the start of next season and hopefully continue for the whole campaign.”
