Alex Song says Arsenal won’t be preoccupied by any single Milan player on Wednesday night – because they are strong all over the pitch.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic may be attracting attention after firing 15 goals in 19 matches so far this season, but Song insists the Italian giants are about more than just one man.

“When we go on the pitch we always just want to do the job,” he told Arsenal Player. “We can't just try to focus on one player, we need to focus on their whole team and try to play how we want to play.

“I think if we manage it well we have an opportunity to do something there.

“I think it is a very important game for us, the Champions League is always something special to play in. We are going to come up against a very good team and we know that Milan have good players. They are a big club.

“But I think we are ready to play this game and we know how important it is. We just have to go there and try to get the result.”

The final whistle on Wednesday will mark the halfway stage in the tie but Song insists that Arsenal’s gameplan will not change even with a second leg to come.

“Arsenal have one style of play, it doesn't matter who we play against,” he said. “We just need to play like we do every time and I think if we play the way we have done in the last couple of games we have the opportunity to do something great.

“I have never played at the San Siro so it is a very good thing for me. I've looked forward to this game and I just want to give my best to help the team. Everyone will be ready to do their job to make the fans happy.”
