Silvestre - My future management aspirations
At 31 years of age, Mikael Silvestre is the oldest outfield player in the Arsenal squad and he spoke to Arsenal TV Online about the possibilty of going into coaching when he eventually hangs up his boots.
During his 13-year career, Silvestre has played under the likes of Marcello Lippi, Sir Alex Ferguson and of course Arsène Wenger. he defender spoke to us about the chances of him following in Tony Adams' footsteps as Arsenal centre half turned Premier League manager. He discussed:
- giving something back to the game
- doing his coaching badges
- taking inspiration from his previous managers
- the need for professionalism as a boss
- following Tony Adams' lead as a centre back
- which position on the pitch makes the perfect manager
