Laurent Koscielny is ready to push on in his second season at Arsenal after a solid debut campaign with the Club.

The French defender signed from Lorient last summer and shouldered a heavy burden in his first year with Thomas Vermaelen sidelined by a long-term injury. Indeed, only Jack Wilshere started more games than Koscielny.

The centre back believes that the experiences of 2010/11 will serve him well when the new campaign gets underway in August.

"I feel different to last season because I was a new player then," he told Arsenal Player. "It was different but now I know other players, I know everybody so I feel better this year and I am more comfortable with the language and everything.

"I got better as I played games [last season]. I played more than 40 games and for a new player that is good news. Now I want to be more regular in the new season and more determined when the games are difficult."

The full interview is now available on Arsenal Player. Laurent discusses his progress since last summer, learning from last season's mistakes, Gael Clichy's departure, improving in defence and why he is positive about the new campaign.
