AC Milan 1-1 Lazio
Saturday, March 1, 2008
AC Milan were held at home by Lazio in their final game before
Tuesday's Champions League showdown with Arsenal. The Rossoneri
struggled to find their rhythm in the early stages and eventually
went behind when Rolando Bianchi registered nine minutes after the
break. However the lead only lasted until the 66th minute when
Massimo Oddo slammed home from the penalty spot after Kakha Kaladze
had been felled. Late on the visitors were reduced to 10 men when
Lorenzo de Silvestri saw red after a lunge on Alexandre Pato. As
well as the dropped points, Milan were dealt a major blow by the
withdrawal in the opening period of Clarence Seedorf through
injury.
