Before every Arsenal fixture, we’ll bring you a Scouting Report on the Gunners’ next opponents.

Former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson will give his pre-match view and you can get his post-match verdict in our Talking Tactics feature on Arsenal Player.

Arsène Wenger and his side host West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Saturday so, to find out more, we also asked journalist Steve Madeley for his thoughts and analysis.

STEWART ROBSON
"Roy Hodgson is an excellent coach who works hard on the training ground to make sure his side knows exactly what is expected of them tactically. Unlike many coaches, who seem to disregard the tactical aspect of coaching in favour of sports science and player contentment,

"Hodgson is methodical in his preparation of a game plan. This week he would have contemplated how best to stop Arsenal`s potency in attack, while also looking at ways to expose Wenger`s men on the counter."

STEVE MADELEY, EXPRESS AND STAR
"Roy Hodgson is generally a 4-4-2 man or a variation on that. It will either be that or a 4-4-1-1 with Odemwingie as the spearhead if he's fit. There's a doubt over him at the moment but he should be fine to play.

"I think West Brom will use the counter-attack against Arsenal, that is essentially their style anyway. Clearly playing Arsenal at the Emirates they are going to be expecting to have little of the ball. But I do think they will have looked at the way Chelsea scored their goals last week and will try to soak up some pressure and hit them on the break somewhat.

"There's a reasonable amount of pace in the team, particularly with Jerome Thomas out wide. I'd say probably Chris Brunt is probably the man most likely to cause Arsenal problems. He's done OK from open play so far this season but his set-pieces have been excellent. That is another way West Brom will probably try and look to exploit Arsenal.

"At the moment I would have to say a narrow Arsenal win will be the outcome of this. When you look at what happened last year you do wonder whether or not lightning will strike twice in that way.

"West Brom played poorly against Liverpool last week but you very rarely see two poor showings in a row from them - this group is quite resilient. I think they will definitely perform, but with the form Arsenal are in you would have to say a slim win for them."
