Arsenal Football Club dedicated its Premier League match against Fulham on Saturday to Save the Children, which saw players and supporters join forces to help support the Club’s global charity partner.
As part of the day, players donated a day’s wages along with many Arsenal staff to help raise funds for the charity, while a host of other fundraising initiatives took place in and around Emirates Stadium, giving supporters the chance to contribute to the partnership, which will support education projects in the UK and overseas and enable the poorest children to get a better start in life and fulfil their potential.
Volunteers were out in force and they were joined pre-match by two familiar faces in Carl Jenkinson and Jack Wilshere, who both did their bit by bucket collecting and selling raffle tickets outside on the podium, much to the surprise and delight of home supporters.
