Bacary Sagna is not worried about Arsenal's recent run of results but he accepts that the team must "be wiser" if they want to turn their fortunes around.

The France right back sat out Tuesday night's loss at Olympiacos and is expected to miss Saturday's visit of high-flying West Bromwich Albion while he recovers from a foot problem.

Sagna was involved in last weekend's defeat at home to Swansea City and he knows Arsenal must improve to beat the Baggies.

"We just need to be wiser," Sagna told Arsenal Player. "We have had the opportunity to win games, and for some reason we don’t.

"We need to work on it. We need to stay focused on the pitch [and] we need to work harder during training sessions. [If we do that] everything will be fine. I don’t worry about it.

"Everyone is good in the Premier League. Everyone can beat everyone. The top teams are the most consistent ones. I think they just go game by game and want to take points. We have to step up and show the opposition who is on top.

"I watched [West Brom's] game at Sunderland," he added. "They did well, they won. I think [they] are a surprising team. From the beginning of the season, they and Swansea are the most consistent teams. That’s why they’re on top.

"We’ve made some mistakes in the past and now we want to impose ourselves on our season."
