AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS 2010

Bacary Sagna... French right-back is of Senegalese descent

Sagna - The Final I want to see in Angola

Bacary Sagna wants to see Alex Song and Emmanuel Eboue go head to head in the Africa Cup of Nations Final.

The Arsenal duo are currently in Angola for the 2010 tournament and Eboue got his campaign underway on Monday as Ivory Coast drew 0-0 with Burkina Faso.

Song will be in action on Wednesday when Cameroon kick off their Group D schedule against Gabon and Sagna will be an interested spectator back in England.

The French international is of Senegalese descent but their failure to qualify for the tournament means he will be even happier if his Arsenal team-mates go all the way in Angola.

“I’ll watch the matches whenever I have the opportunity to,” Sagna told the Official Matchday Programme.

“A final of Cameroon v Ivory Coast would be brilliant and I hope that one of Alex and Manu can win.

"I’m happy for them both – they’ll enjoy the tournament and it’s good to go back to Africa and live what they experienced when they were younger.

And if they can go far, which both should do, then it can be positive for us as well. I think both teams will show everyone how strong they are.”
