Bacary Sagna says Arsenal will be successful if they continue to defend as a team.

The France right back contributed to a second consecutive clean sheet as Arsène Wenger's side earned a 1-0 first-leg lead in their Champions League Play-Off against Udinese on Tuesday.

There was a few scares along the way but Sagna was satisfied with a good night's work.

"It was the goal of the night - to score without conceding," he told Arsenal Player. "It was not easy because they had many opportunities to score but we won the game so now we need to look forward.

"We knew Udinese from before, the Italian league is quite tough and if you let them play they can be dangerous. But from the game against Newcastle and tonight again we did not concede a goal. We know if we want to be successful we have to defend as a team as we did tonight and keep playing.

"But we are all united for the same goal and we showed we have a great team spirit."

The full interview with Bacary is now available on Arsenal Player. He discusses: the win over Udinese, the second leg in Italy, Carl Jenkinson's performance, the emergence of Aaron Ramsey and the visit of Liverpool.
