Arsenal have three players back from injury for the trip to Aston Villa on Wednesday.
Mathieu Flamini (foot), Justin Hoyte (hamstring) and Tomas Rosicky (groin) are all fit and have been named in Arsène Wenger's squad. However the Czech international midfielder is only likely to make the bench.
However the Arsenal manager's injury and suspension problems
still loom large. He has four players banned on Wednesday. In
addition Thierry Henry's season is over because of damaged
groin/stomach muscles while Robin Van Persie is still some way from
fitness because of a broken foot. Alex Hleb has picked up a knee
problem but thankfully it is short term.
"We have plenty," replied Wenger when asked about the
absentees for the game. "Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue, Emmanuel
Adebayor and Gael Clichy are all suspended. Henry and Van Persie
are injured.
"Tomas Rosicky is back in the squad but it is a bit early for him. Hleb is injured. He has a little knee problem. But Flamini is back in the squad and so is Hoyte."
