Robin van Persie is unlikely to return from injury until the final few weeks of the campaign.

The Dutch striker broke a bone in his foot scoring the equaliser against Manchester United at Emirates Stadium on January 21. With Thierry Henry out for the season, Wenger could do with the return of the former Feyenoord forward but it looks like he'll have to wait another six weeks.

"Robin van Persie was not allowed to start impact work for 10 weeks from the injury so I would say the earliest [for a return] is the end of April," said the manager. "I hope we will see him again this season but it could be very short."
