Arsène Wenger has not made an offer for Franck Ribery and suggests he is unlikely to do so.

The Marseilles winger has been linked with Arsenal ever since his starring role in the World Cup last summer. However by that time Wenger had already replaced another French winger, Robert Pires, with Tomas Rosicky. His side are going for their seventh straight victory in Moscow this evening so he does not feel there is a need to make additions.

"We have never made an offer to Marseille for Ribery," said Wenger at his pre-match press conference. "I find him a good player, but I do not look for any players at the moment because I feel I have exactly the squad I need.

"Offensively we have lost some players, but people like Rosicky have come in and the young players have also developed. So, at the moment, I am not looking for anybody to come in."
