Real Madrid, Juventus and... Villarreal? When you've seen off two stellar names it's something of a shock to find a so-called 'smaller' club standing between you and a place in the Champions League Final.

Jose Antonio Reyes is as surprised as anyone that Villarreal have advanced so far in their first season in the competition, but he knows the Spaniards are there on merit.

"It was surprising to see Villarreal through to the Semi-Final but the truth is that in this competition the best teams progress and Villarreal were the better team [against Inter] just as we were against Juventus," said Reyes.

"But we've overcome difficult challenges and passed tests with flying colours, having beaten the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus along the way. Now our aim is to reach the Champions League Final and win it.

"There's really no secret to our success so far. We work hard every day, we fight for every ball and I think when you do these things, you can't go wrong."
