Ramsey - We’re in control of Group F now

Aaron Ramsey says Arsenal have taken control of their own destiny in the Champions League.

Having been beaten at home by Borussia Dortmund last month, the Gunners looked to be facing an uphill struggle to progress from Group F.

But their victory in the reverse fixture - courtesy of Ramsey's header - has put them top of the table with two fixtures remaining.

“It was important to get the win over there [in Dortmund], having lost the previous game at home,” the Welsh midfielder said.

"There was a bit of pressure on us to go there and get a result which we did ever so well. It was vital for us, and we're now in control again."

“There was a bit of pressure on us to go there and get a result which we did ever so well. It was vital for us, and we're now in control again.

“We're back in a strong position so let's take in the next game and hopefully get the win there and put ourselves in an even stronger position. Hopefully we can get the three points we need [against Marseille].”

Ramsey has been in superb form in the Champions League this season, scoring five times in six appearances, and he says his confidence is high.

“I don't know [what it is down to], I'm just enjoying myself at the moment,” he said. “I'm feeling really confident and the team is confident as well so that helps when you're playing.

“I don't really need to take that much interest in the statistics as long as we're doing a good job and the team's playing well - I'm happy with that.”
