Aaron Ramsey says Arsenal must continue to be a force at home in the Champions League.
The Gunners are unbeaten on their own patch in the Group Stages since 2003, winning 17 of 21 matches in north London at this stage of the competition.
Indeed, even European champions Barcelona were put to the sword last season at Emirates Stadium.
“We have a good record at home in Europe, and I think we need to approach every game here the same,” Ramsey told the Official Matchday Programme. “We need to say ‘this is our home pitch and this is where we are strongest’.
“Hopefully the win against Bolton will help us do that, and we want to go on an unbeaten run now.”
Ramsey was outstanding two years ago when an extremely youthful Arsenal side went down 1-0 to Olympiacos in Piraeus and the Wales captain admits the team performed admirably despite the result.
“I thought we played really well out there actually,” said Ramsey.
“We got beaten 1-0 but we had a few chances to score and a few one on ones, but we couldn’t quite take them. But it was a good performance because it was a very young team over there.
“Hopefully we can do that again but get the right result this time. “
