Aaron Ramsey is back in the Arsenal squad for Saturday’s FA Cup tie.

The Wales midfielder has not featured for the first team since breaking his leg at Stoke last February but he did complete 90 minutes on Monday in the final game of his loan spell with Nottingham Forest.

Ramsey returned to Arsenal after that match and goes straight into the squad to face Leeds United as Arsène Wenger rings the changes from the midweek draw with Manchester City.

“Ramsey is in the squad and so is Carlos Vela,” confirmed the manager at his pre-match press conference. “Gibbs is in the squad too. He is fit and ready to play.

“We have problems with Van Persie and Nasri but they are problems of days. They are not in the squad but they should be available next week. [They got] kicks, bruises and kicks [against Man City].

“Certainly [I will rest] Wilshere and Koscielny, who have played many games recently. I will rotate a little bit but we will have a strong team with only one target - to win our game tomorrow.”

Abou Diaby (calf), Manuel Almunia (ankle) and Thomas Vermaelen (Achilles) are still out but the latter is making steady progress, according to Wenger.

“He is in a period where he is starting to run again and we will see how it goes. I think he will be back this time very soon.”
