Arsène Wenger has confirmed Aaron Ramsey will return to the Club on Wednesday, but admits it may take as long as two months before the midfielder is back to his best.
The 20-year-old Wales international will be back at London Colney after completing a short-term loan switch to Nottingham Forest where he made two starts and three substitute appearances in five weeks at the City Ground.
On Monday, Ramsey stepped up his return by completing 90 minutes for the first time since Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Sunderland at Emirates Stadium on February 20.
Despite this, Wenger insists he is still some way from being at the top level.
“He has been [sorely missed] but now he has to come back to his level,” said the manager. “He is off today and he is in tomorrow [Wednesday].
“People forget he has been out for nine months. To come back to your level takes at least two months.”
