Cesc Fabregas has a little friendly family pressure on his
shoulders this evening
The Arsenal midfielder was first taken to the Nou Camp at the age
of nine months by his Barcelona-mad grandfather. Seventeen years
later, that same patriarch predicted his grandson would be meeting
his home town team this evening in the Champions League Final.
"It is quite funny." Fabregas told Arsenal.com. "At
the start of the season my Grandad said that it would be us versus
Barcelona in the final.
"I can't really believe it .Three years ago I was playing
for Barcelona Under-15 and now I am playing a final against a team
I played for over so many years.
"I have a few friends who are still with them. I know Andres
Iniesta because I played with him a few times when I was in the
youth. I have played with Carles Puyol in the national team he is
Catalan aswell."
But who is the venerable Senor Fabregas going to be cheering on
tonight?
"Well I would be very disappointed if he supports Barcelona in
the Final," said Cesc. "He says Barca have to win but I
have to score three goals."
