on what football can learn from Olympians…
I believe that sport is a world of humility and you fight with yourself to be at your best. The Olympics is a great example that we have seen, of people trying to get to their best. But that is the same for you and me, the fight of life is to be as good as you can. In the Olympics, because it is sport at the top level, you see that even more so because they have to wait for four years to have a chance to show how good they are. In our job it is different, but believe me it is not easy to be at the top of your job every three days. I am not sure the Olympic athletes will be capable of doing that, so it is a different problem. The only difference is that in football there is more money involved.
on it being preferable if Van Persie had gone abroad…
It would have been easier, for him and for us. But it didn't happen. Time heals all things and of course at the moment people are hurt, which I understand. But what is important for us is to focus on the season in front of us. Players have gone, life goes on. The football club is 125 years old and other big players have left this club and we have always gone from season to season in a strong way.
